Korea Swimming Federation President Jung Chang-hoon attended the Asian Swimming Federation General Assembly held in Tokyo, Japan, today (21st) and launched a bid to host the 2027 Asian Open Water Swimming Championships in Seoul.

Attending in his capacity as an executive member of the Asian Swimming Federation, President Jung met with swimming officials from various countries to broadly discuss ways to expand exchanges among member nations and revitalize international competitions.

In particular, he actively urged the delegations of each country to show interest and support for hosting the 2027 Asian Open Water Swimming Championships in Seoul.

The Korea Swimming Federation expects that if the competition is held in Seoul, it will serve as a major catalyst for expanding the domestic base of open water swimming and improving athletic performance.
