Financial Services Commission Chairman Lee Eok-won visited a traditional market today (the 21st) ahead of the Chuseok holiday to listen to the voices of the livelihood field.
According to the Financial Services Commission, Chairman Lee visited Tongin Market in Jongno-gu to hear about recent traditional market conditions and challenges from vendors, while explaining customized financial support measures for small business owners.
He introduced measures including the Small Business Specialized Credit Evaluation (SCB) based on non-financial information such as sales, business type, and commercial district analysis, as well as the "Small Business The Dream Package," which has been expanded and reorganized to a scale of 12.3 trillion won by lowering interest rates and increasing limits for small business owners.
He stated that the government will continue to promote the expansion of the online loan refinancing service, the revitalization of the right to request interest rate reductions, and the reduction of early repayment fees to ease the financial burden on small business owners.
Chairman Lee also shared that policy financial institutions and the entire financial sector are supplying a total of 103 trillion won in funds to small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the Chuseok holiday.
