Actor Kim Nam-gil captivated audiences by taking the stage at his very first music festival as a "rookie singer."

On the 20th, Kim performed a 30-minute set with a full live band on the second day of the "KB Joy Olpak Festival 2026" held at the 88 Lawn Field of Olympic Park in Seoul. This marks his first festival appearance about half a year after making his debut as a singer in March with his first single, "Going to You."

Appearing alongside a full band session, Kim opened the concert with Nell's "Time Walking on Memory." Greeting the crowd with a playful remark, "Hello, I am rookie singer Kim Nam-gil," he quickly seized the mood at the venue with his relaxed wit, adding, "I will keep my words brief today."

He then passionately performed Nell's "Four Times Around the Sun" and Jung Joon-il's "Hug Me" with his signature deep, emotional vocals, even wandering out to the protruding stage. Shifting the atmosphere, he boosted the energy with DAY6's "Time of Our Life" and brought the set to a high point with his debut song "Going to You," drawing enthusiastic cheers and encore requests from the audience.

Having conquered university festivals and now large-scale music festivals to solidify his presence as "singer Kim Nam-gil," he is also continuing his non-stop, hardworking career as an actor.

Currently filming as the lead in the new SBS drama "Nightmare" and awaiting the release of the film "Mongyu Dowondo," Kim has also confirmed that he will host the 35th Buil Film Awards as an MC on October 7 and serve as an official ambassador for the "Seoul International Drama Awards 2026" on October 8, heralding all-around activities.
