A worker in his 50s, identified as A, fell to the ground from the rooftop of a 12-story apartment building in Jungsan-dong, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, at around 10:30 a.m. today (September 21).

As a result of the accident, worker A was transported to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest and later died.

Police believe that worker A slipped and fell while performing waterproofing work on the rooftop.

Police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning witnesses and others.
