The film 'The Assassin(s)' has claimed the number one spot in both ticket reservation rates and pre-sale figures two days ahead of its release.

According to the Korean Film Council's ticketing data on September 21, 'The Assassin(s)' recorded an advance reservation rate of 28.9%, surpassing 'The Odyssey' (22.2%), which had maintained the top position in this category for a long time. Its advance ticket sales have surpassed 153,000, recording the highest figure among films targeting the Chuseok holiday.

Currently, the number one film at the box office is 'The Intern', which was released on September 16. However, it showed less-than-expected momentum, drawing only around 200,000 viewers over its opening weekend and a total of 400,000 viewers for the week. Given the current trend, 'The Assassin(s)' is highly likely to take over the number one spot at the box office upon its release.

'The Assassin(s)' traces the suspicions and masterminds behind the assassination of the First Lady that shocked South Korea on August 15, 1974. Directed by Hur Jin-ho, known for 'One Fine Spring Day' and 'The Last Princess', the film stars Yoo Hai-jin, Park Hae-il, and Lee Minho.
