[Anchor] We recently shared the story of a car owner who wrote a letter to his long-serving truck. It turns out the story has a moving follow-up, is that right?

[Reporter] Yes, this is the story of 79-year-old Choi Young-doo, who drove a Porter truck for 29 years.

Choi has driven 448,000 kilometers with his Porter since 1997, and recently attached a handwritten letter titled "Farewell Drive" to the front windshield of his vehicle.

The letter read, "We weathered the storm of the IMF crisis together, and thanks to you, I was able to raise and educate my two children," adding, "Thank you so much for running accident-free."

When the story became known, Hyundai Motor also sent him a plaque of appreciation along with a reply letter.

The head of Hyundai Motor's domestic business division expressed gratitude for staying with the Porter for 29 years, stating, "The handwritten letter you left behind will remain in our hearts for a long time as an answer to 'why we build cars.'"
