A wild beast has appeared in a residential area of San Francisco, USA.

It was seen prowling around a front yard and wandering across a road.

It is a ferocious animal commonly called a mountain lion in the U.S. and a puma in South Korea.

According to officials, it is estimated to be a two- or three-year-old young male that ventured into the city while searching for a new territory.

Upon receiving a report, police and animal rescue teams dispatched to the scene immediately set out to capture it.

Tranquilized and caught, the puma was fitted with a tracking device and released back into the wild.
