A hotspot in Busan created by a shark is drawing massive attention, and it is none other than the Busan North Port Waterfront Park.

Word that a shark has appeared there brought a massive crowd of citizens flocking to catch a glimpse of it over the weekend.

There are certainly a lot of people.

This is the railing around the waterway at the Busan North Port Waterfront Park yesterday (September 20).

It was packed like this with citizens hoping to see the shark.

And the shark actually revealed itself.

At that moment, citizens gasped in amazement, pulling out their smartphones and even professional DSLR cameras to take photos and videos.

The shark, measuring 3 to 4 meters in length, was first spotted on the 18th and has been drawing intense interest by showing up for three consecutive days.

An official from the Busan Facilities Corporation stated that an estimated 8,000 people visited on the 19th alone.

Believed to be a bluntnose sixgill shark or a similar species, this shark typically inhabits subtropical waters in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, and is classified as a species with potential risks of aggression.

The National Institute of Fisheries Science explained that rising water temperatures around the Korean Peninsula due to global warming are causing bluntnose sharks to appear more frequently.
