The government has projected that traffic heading out for their hometowns during this Chuseok holiday will be most congested on the morning of the 24th, the first day of the holiday, while the return traffic will peak on the afternoon of the 25th, the second day.

The average daily highway traffic volume during this holiday is expected to reach 6.05 million vehicles, about 25% higher than a normal weekend.

During the Chuseok holiday, the government plans to exempt highway toll fees and lower fuel prices at highway gas stations managed by the Korea Expressway Corporation by 100 KRW per liter.
