A man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A, died after falling 10 meters while climbing a pine tree to harvest pine nuts near Sundaegol in Gurae-ri, Sangdong-eup, Yeongwol, Gangwon Province, at around 12:40 p.m. today (September 20).

Mr. A was pronounced dead at the scene following the accident.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances and cause of the fall.
