South Korean national cycling team member Shin Ji-eun has claimed the South Korean delegation's first medal at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Competing in the women's individual time trial at the Shinshiro Circuit course in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, today (the 20th), Shin crossed the finish line in 36 minutes and 28.40 seconds, trailing first-place Rinata Sultanova of Kazakhstan by 32.42 seconds, to secure the bronze medal.

This marks the very first medal for the entire South Korean delegation participating in this tournament.
