At around 11:18 a.m. today (September 19), a truck plowed into a crowd at a flea market event in front of a library in Gongdo-eup, Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, striking six people.
As a result of the accident, a woman in her 30s and a teenage male were transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest.
In addition, three others—including a woman and a man in their 20s, and a man in his 60s—suffered injuries such as leg fractures and are receiving hospital treatment.
One woman in her 50s, who showed symptoms of breathing difficulty, received emergency treatment at the scene.
Authorities reported that a large number of people had gathered at the scene as the flea market was underway at the time of the accident.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning the driver and witnesses.
