A worker in his 50s has died after getting trapped in the structure of a ladder truck at an apartment complex in Incheon.

At around 9:25 a.m. yesterday (September 18), a man in his 50s identified as A became pinned between the boom (support arm) and the body of a ladder truck at an apartment in Hang-dong, Jemulpo-gu, Incheon.

As a result of the accident, worker A was transported to a hospital by 119 emergency medical services in a state of cardiac arrest, but ultimately passed away.

Authorities determined that worker A, an independent contractor, met with the accident while tidying up after completing a job to transport a bed using the ladder truck.

The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident based on closed-circuit (CC) television footage from the scene and statements from witnesses.
