At around 9:40 PM yesterday (September 18), an 8.5-ton cargo truck collided with the rear of a 25-ton cargo truck traveling ahead of it near the Yeongdong Interchange on the Seoul-bound Gyeongbu Expressway in Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the 8.5-ton truck sustained injuries and was trapped in the driver's seat, prompting rescue operations by fire authorities.

A police official stated, "The driver is conscious," adding, "We are currently handling the aftermath of the accident while controlling one of the three lanes in the direction."
