Following President Lee Jae-myung's press conference, People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyeok criticized the event, saying, "[The president] has not changed his thinking one bit," and called it "a press conference with nothing left but dazzling verbal dexterity".

Jang posted his thoughts regarding President Lee's press conference on his social media on Friday afternoon (September 18).

Regarding President Lee's remarks on constitutional revision, Jang pointed out, "He said he 'has no intention whatsoever to seek a second term.' Is a clear declaration of 'I will not seek a second term' really that difficult?"

He continued, "While claiming to be the 'president of everyone,' he only reached out to the left," asserting, "He declared that only the 'pro-Moon, pro-Roh, and pro-Kim Dae-jung' factions are 'Lee Jae-myung's comrades'".

Jang added, "It seems his goal is not national unity, but left-wing unity".

Regarding President Lee's proposed police reform plan, Jang noted, "Talking about police reform without even appointing a police chief is absurd in itself."

Regarding President Lee's claim that he was a "victim of political investigations," Jang asked in response, "In the illegal remittances to North Korea, Daejang-dong, and Baekhyeon-dong cases, all accomplices were convicted, and in his own election law violation case, the Supreme Court has virtually ruled him guilty. How can he claim to be a 'victim'?"

Regarding President Lee's remark that he 'has not reached a final conclusion' on the fate of Justice Minister nominee Kim Seung-won, Jang argued, "In the end, this means he has not abandoned his lingering attachment to 'dropping the indictment'".

Commenting on President Lee's statements on real estate, Jang stated, "It confirmed that he has not the slightest intention of fixing real estate policies," pointing out that "he blamed others for the supply shortage and blamed loans for rising home prices."

He then sarcastically remarked, "A pointless press conference—I don't know why he held it if this was the outcome," asking, "Was the goal to make the public even angrier?"
