A special stage celebrating the musical journey of Yoon Hang-ki (83), a living legend of South Korean popular music and a pioneer of Korean rock, is set to take place.

Performance production company Live Moment announced that the Yoon Hang-ki 65th anniversary tribute concert "Thanks to You, I Am Happy" will be held at 7 PM on October 24 at the Mapo Art Center Art Hall Mac in Seoul. Beyond a commemorative show for a legendary singer who defined an era, this event is prepared as a tribute concert that brings a chapter of South Korean pop music history back to the stage.

Yoon Hang-ki has left a distinct footprint in the history of Korean popular music through his long career as a singer, composer, and singer-songwriter, including leading Key Boys, which spearheaded the early days of Korean group sounds. In particular, he has released numerous hit songs such as "Rosy Scarf," "I Am Happy," "Friend, My Friend," and "Everyone," receiving love across generations.

A large number of senior and junior artists representing the South Korean music scene will participate in this concert to celebrate Yoon Hang-ki's musical career together. Ten junior artists are scheduled to take the stage and present tribute performances, reinterpreting Yoon Hang-ki's masterpiece songs with their own musical colors.

A concert official shared, "As this is an event celebrating Teacher Yoon Hang-ki's 65-year musical journey, we are creating a stage that goes beyond simply reminiscing about the past, showing how Yoon Hang-ki's music has been carried forward and how it will be remembered in the future. It will be a time for audiences who have lived through the same era to rediscover their youth, and for younger audiences to discover the present of a great musician who shaped Korean popular music."

This concert also carries the meaning of sharing. The organizers plan to donate a portion of the concert proceeds to Korea Food for the Hungry International's support for war orphans, the Sunshine School for children from multicultural families, and the World Orphan Support Association Goread.
