The film "The Odyssey" has surpassed 11 million moviegoers nationwide.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticket computer network, "The Odyssey" recorded a cumulative audience of 11,000,003 at 11:41 a.m. on the 18th. Along with surpassing 11 million moviegoers, "The Odyssey" has also closed in on the record of "Avengers: Infinity War" (11.23 million), which ranks fifth in all-time foreign film box office hits in South Korea.

Although its daily box office ranking dropped to second following the release of "The Intern" on the 16th, it continues to maintain the number one spot in advance ticket reservation rates. "The Odyssey" has held the number one spot in overall advance reservation rates for 47 consecutive days from August 3 to September 18.

"The Odyssey" is based on the ancient Greek epic "The Odyssey" by the poet Homer, depicting the 10-year adventure of hero Odysseus (played by Matt Damon) trying to return to his hometown of Ithaca after the Trojan War. The film stars Matt Damon, along with Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya.

Having surpassed 10 million moviegoers nationwide in 33 days since its release, "The Odyssey" continues to increase its cumulative audience while maintaining the number two spot at the box office even as it enters its seventh week of release.
