On September 11, at a three-way intersection in Sanjeong-dong, Mokpo, South Jeolla Province, a passenger car driven by an 80-something individual, B, who was traveling straight, collided with a passenger car that was making a right turn.
After the collision, B's vehicle continued straight for about 100 meters, crashing into five vehicles parked in a nearby lot before coming to a stop.
The accident resulted in a passenger in their 70s sitting in the front passenger seat complaining of lower back pain and being taken to the hospital.
During police questioning, B reportedly stated, "I stepped on the brake, but the car wouldn't stop."
On September 10, a passenger car driven by a man in his late 70s overturned on a road near the Dongdaemun General Market in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
