The Korea Consumer Agency has issued a consumer caution advisory as consumer complaints regarding delivery and refund delays continue to pile up at the online men's clothing shopping mall 'Flyday' (also known as PLDI).

The Korea Consumer Agency announced today (September 18) that 102 consumer consultations related to Flyday were filed with the 1372 Consumer Counseling Center between January and August of this year.

The first complaint regarding Flyday was received in December of last year, and damages have continued into this year.

Looking at the reasons for consultation, "breach of contract" due to delivery delays and other issues was the most common at 48 cases (47.0%), followed by "withdrawal of subscription" with 37 cases (36.3%).

Consultations related to breach of contract and withdrawal of subscription totaled 85 cases, accounting for 83.3% of the total.

Among the cases requested for consultation, 75 cases (73.5%) were handled as notifications for damage relief application guidance or ended in settlement failures due to the business becoming unreachable.

The damage relief application notices sent by the Consumer Agency to the business address were returned due to unknown recipients.

As a result of Incheon City and Geomdan-gu Office, which have jurisdiction over the business address, visiting the Flyday business location on the 2nd, it was confirmed that the business operator had already moved out.

The Consumer Agency advised consumers to exercise caution when using Flyday and to keep relevant evidentiary materials—such as order information, payment details, text and call records, and certified mail—so that they can prove any breach of contract.

It also emphasized that when using online shopping malls, consumers should use credit cards whenever possible, and be cautious of shopping malls that only allow cash payments or encourage cash payments to offer additional discounts.
