A heartwarming story about Epik High DJ and producer Tukutz (Kim Jeong-sik, 44) has recently come to light, drawing attention.
Recently, one internet user shared a video on social media saying, "I hope this story reaches Epik High's Tukutz," revealing the comfort they received from Tukutz during a moment of despair.
They shared, "It was a story from 8 or 9 years ago. I briefly made music, but thinking I had no talent, I briefly gave up my dream. For some reason, I ended up sending a direct message (DM) to Tukutz as a last resort, asking him to listen to my music just once."
A short time later, an unexpected reply came from Tukutz. He sent a message saying, "Jin-woo, don't give up and keep going," and personally uploaded the netizen's song to his Instagram. Coincidentally, that day was Tukutz's birthday.
They expressed gratitude, saying, "I wondered why he would do something like this for someone who knew nothing. During a depressing time, I gained the courage to live. It was the greatest comfort I have ever received. I don't know if my sincerity will reach him, but I will quietly cheer him on and remain a fan."
On Tukutz's Instagram post from November 19, 2018, which they revealed, their song was shared along with the caption, "The song is good. I will make this song my birthday gift. #HBDTM #HappyBirthday."
Others who saw this left praising comments such as, "As expected, a leader is different," and "He grumbles on the outside but is warm on the inside."
Tukutz debuted with Epik High in 2003 and is a veteran producer celebrating his 22nd year since debut this year. He is also well-known as the one and only official "FAKE MC" in hip-hop history, and has recently been showing a new side of himself after being chosen as the leader of Epik High.
