Today (September 18), rain is forecast for the east coast, South Jeolla Province, South Gyeongsang Province, and Jeju Island.

Most areas will see a relatively small amount of 5 to 20 mm, but Jeju needs to be prepared for heavy downpours.

In particular, intense rain of around 30 mm per hour is expected from morning to afternoon, with some areas in eastern Jeju receiving heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm.

Strong winds are also forecast mainly around the southern coast and Jeju today, requiring caution against safety accidents.

The central region will be cloudy before gradually clearing up from the afternoon, while the air is becoming increasingly dry in the greater Seoul area.

Let us take a closer look at the temperatures.

Seoul will start the morning at 19°C (66°F) and Daegu at 20°C (68°F), both higher than yesterday morning.

Daytime temperatures will rise up to 29°C (84°F) in Seoul making it warm, while Gangneung, where rain is falling, will stay at 24°C (75°F).

Rain in the Gangwon Yeongdong region and Jeju will continue until Saturday morning.

Skies inland will remain mostly clear until early next week, with a wide temperature range between day and night.
