Today (September 17) saw cloudy skies nationwide, keeping daytime heat slightly lower than yesterday.

Meanwhile, the second autumn typhoon of the season, Dujuan, formed over the waters northeast of Guam last night.

Currently, South Korea is under the influence of cold and dry air moving down from the north, so the typhoon will not move northward. Instead, it is heading toward the waters east of Japan and will have no impact on our country.

Meanwhile, easterly winds are expected to continue tomorrow.

Tomorrow, rain clouds will develop in Jeju, parts of the southern regions, and the east coast as northeasterly winds blowing along the edge of the high-pressure system collide with easterly winds blowing from the southeast.

In particular, heavy rain of over 100mm is expected to pour mainly in Jeju.

Caution is advised for strong rain showers of around 30mm per hour from morning to afternoon.

In other areas, rainfall amounts will not be large, ranging from 5 to 20mm.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the Seoul metropolitan area is gradually becoming drier.

The central region will be cloudy tomorrow before gradually clearing up from the afternoon, while the southern coast and Jeju will experience very strong winds tomorrow, requiring caution against safety accidents.

Tomorrow morning's low in Seoul will be 19°C (66°F), higher than today. Daytime temperatures in Seoul will rise up to 29°C (84°F), making it warm, while Gangneung, where rain is forecasted, will stay at 24°C (75°F).

Rain in Gangwon Yeongdong and Jeju will continue until Saturday morning, while inland areas will see clear weather until early next week.
