The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee has officially protested to the Olympic Council of Asia and the organizing committee regarding a performance that featured Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the architect of the Imjin War, during a welcome ceremony for the athletes' village at the Nagoya Asian Games.

The committee sent a letter in the name of President Yoo Seung-min, demanding an immediate expression of regret and measures to prevent recurrence.

However, controversy continues as Toyotomi appeared once again in a video posted on the organizing committee's social media last night, September 16.
