A large fire broke out at a mart in Damun-ri, Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, at 3:06 p.m. today (September 17).

Fire authorities, dispatched after receiving the report, issued a Level 1 response due to the large area of the building and concerns that the fire would spread, and are currently working to extinguish the flames.

A Level 1 response is a measure in which all personnel and equipment from the jurisdictional fire station are mobilized.

Fire authorities stated that while there are no injuries reported so far, a total of 38 people, including 23 mart employees and 15 customers, evacuated hastily.
