Opening just before the Chuseok holidays, "The Assassins" is the new project by Hive Media Corp, the production company behind modern history-set box office hits like "The Man Standing Next" and "12.12: The Day".

Director Hur Jin-ho has created a film set against the backdrop of the 1974 First Lady assassination attempt.

Actors Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Lee Min-ho appear as a detective and a reporter, respectively.

"Tazza: Beelzebub's Song", the fourth installment of the "Tazza" franchise born 20 years ago, opens on the same day as "The Assassins".

It depicts a story where childhood friends succeed in an online casino business, only to clash in a real gambling arena fraught with intertwined friendship and betrayal. It is a film with a worldview distinct from the previous chapters.
