The special prosecutor team led by Lee Tae-han, tasked with investigating the shortage of ballot papers during the June 3 local elections, has launched full-scale compulsory investigations 10 days after its official launch.

The special prosecutor team dispatched prosecutors and investigators this morning to a total of nine locations, including the National Election Commission and local election commissions, to conduct searches and seizures.

This marks the first seizure operation since the special prosecutor team officially launched on the 7th, and the team is currently securing materials such as internal servers from the election commission offices.

The special prosecutor team is investigating 12 allegations, including the shortage of ballot papers for the local elections, manipulation of voting statistics, overseas junket trips by election commission officials, preferential hiring and promotions, and preferential private contracts and collusion with businesses.
