Today (September 16), a confirmation hearing was held at the National Assembly's National Defense Committee for Defense Minister nominee Kang shin-chul.

At the hearing, real estate-related controversies became the primary target of scrutiny, including nominee Kang's eldest son purchasing commercial property valued in the 700 million won range and his family receiving special housing allotments designated for evicted residents.
