A man in his 30s wearing an electronic tracking device was caught by a probation officer after trespassing into a women's restroom in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.

The Namyangju Bukbu Police Station announced today (September 16) that they have apprehended a man in his 30s, identified as A, on-site under charges of trespassing on a public place for sexual purposes under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.

A is suspected of entering the women's restroom in an apartment commercial complex in Byeollae-dong, Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, around 8:40 p.m. yesterday (September 15) for the purpose of satisfying sexual desires.

It was reported that a probation officer, having confirmed through A's electronic anklet location data that he had left his residence, directly tracked down his location, discovered A coming out of the restroom, and reported him.

At the time, there were no other users inside the restroom, and it was determined that A did not install a spy camera or engage in illegal filming.

A is known to have recently been released from prison after serving a sentence for past sex crimes.

Police plan to investigate the motive and circumstances of the crime against A and apply for an arrest warrant.
