Hollywood actor Amanda Seyfried, 40, and her husband Thomas Sadoski, 50, who is 10 years her senior, have parted ways after nine years of marriage.
According to entertainment media outlet People on the 15th (local time), the couple made their divorce official after living apart for some time.
In a joint statement, the two said, "We have been separated for some time now, and we have confirmed that this is the right decision for ourselves and our family," adding, "(Even after the breakup) we will forever remain each other's supporters. This is very meaningful."
Before the news of the divorce broke, Seyfried posted a photo on her social media story of Sadoski posing with their pet lizard, Romeo. Along with the photo, she shared her feelings, writing, "Nothing is truly difficult unless you decide it is. If not, it's just the next step to figure out."
The two first met in 2015 while starring in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By, and tied the knot in a private wedding in 2017. They share a daughter and a son.
Amanda Seyfried rose to stardom through films such as Mean Girls and Mamma Mia! In 2023, she won the Best Actress award at both the Golden Globes and the Critics' Choice Awards for her role in the series The Dropout.
