Dating show "I Am Solo" Season 28 cast members Hyun-sook and Young-shik have officially ended their relationship.

After drawing attention as a long-distance couple traveling between Incheon and Gwangju as a single mother and single father, Hyun-sook and Young-shik have officially confirmed their breakup. Following Hyun-sook's decision to delete all photos and videos of Young-shik, a netizen asked, "Did you and Young-shik break up?" Hyun-sook confirmed the split, replying, "Yes, he was a good person and I was happy."

Regarding the reason for the breakup, Hyun-sook stated, "Before it was too late and before the children became too attached, we decided to return to our respective places. We genuinely intend to cheer for each other's futures." She added, "I was happy because I received more than enough love this time. Thanks to that, I think I will be able to live even better. Thank you for saying such kind words."

To a comment reading, "I was rooting for you, so this is disappointing," she replied, "The ending may be that way, but we chose this after having plenty of conversations with each other. Thank you for supporting us all this time." Regarding the deletion of all their photos together, she explained, "I think deleting them is a courtesy to each other."

The two officially announced their relationship last March through Young-shik's YouTube channel. At the time, Hyun-sook emphasized that they became close after the show and became a couple, praising Young-shik by saying, "The more I get to know him, the more precious he is, and he is such a good person that I feel he is too good for me."

Young-shik is raising a daughter in her third year of high school, and Hyun-sook is a single mother raising three children.

Airing its finale late last year, the divorced singles special of "I Am Solo" Season 28 has been regarded as a legendary season that produced the most couples, with a total of five couples emerging after the broadcast.
