Fishermen headed out into the waters off Cedros Island in Mexico, dreaming of catching a big one.

However, what caught their eyes was not a fish.

A lone dog was struggling to swim in the middle of the vast open ocean.

It was located a whopping 1.6 kilometers away from the coast.

The fishermen immediately pulled the dog out of the water and cared for it by providing water and food.

Gradually regaining its strength, the dog played the role of a proper crew member on the boat and shared a short voyage.

As soon as they arrived at the dock, it fortunately met someone who recognized it and safely returned home, it was reported.
