President Lee Jae-myung will chair the first multilateral summit in Seoul today (September 16) with the leaders of five Central Asian nations, including Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, President Lee plans to discuss measures for cooperation on critical mineral supply chains between South Korea and the Central Asian nations, and specifically adopt the "Seoul Declaration" containing a mid- to long-term vision for cooperation.

President Lee will also attend a business summit where the leaders of the five Central Asian nations and around 500 government and business representatives gather to discuss economic cooperation, including investment.
