President Lee Jae-myung will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. on the 18th at the Yeongbinwan reception hall of the Blue House.

Senior Presidential Secretary for Public Communication Sung Ki-hong announced the plan during a briefing today (the 15th).

Around 150 domestic and foreign journalists will attend the press conference, which will be divided into two sessions: politics and diplomacy, and policy and economy.

The conference is scheduled to last about 90 minutes, including the president's opening remarks, a Q&A session, and closing remarks.

Sung also stated that the seating will be arranged to keep the president and reporters as close as possible, and that public comments will be introduced to listen attentively to the voices of the citizens.

Sung said, "This press conference will serve as an opportunity to respond to the public sentiment that gave birth to the sovereign government, conveying the president's firm determination for reform, a state administration stance that prioritizes people's livelihoods, and a message of stronger national unity." He added, "Furthermore, the president will clearly explain and communicate his stance and direction on major pending issues to the public."

"Reporters will be able to freely ask questions about major issues without being bound to specific topics, and the president will answer them directly," he added. "The president aims to communicate sincerely and faithfully regarding state affairs that the public is curious about and wants to hear."
