President Lee Jae-myung held a summit with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, who is visiting South Korea on a state visit on the occasion of the South Korea-Central Asia Summit.

As key partners that have maintained deep friendship since establishing diplomatic ties in 1992, the two leaders promised to take a leap forward together toward joint prosperity and peace. They also witnessed the signing of memorandums of understanding (MOUs) across 13 fields between the two governments, including critical mineral supply chains, the defense industry, artificial intelligence, and high-speed railway projects.
