Scoring seven goals in the first half alone—including two by Kim Kyong-yong, the top scorer from the previous Hangzhou Asian Games—they added three more in the second half even after resting key players.

After claiming their first win with a 10-0 landslide, the players approached the cheering squad to express their gratitude.

North Korea is set to face South Korea's national team, which is in the same group, on September 21.
