Following allegations that a police inspector at a district unit in Jeju made abusive remarks and sexually harassing comments to a subordinate, another report of workplace bullying involving a different police officer has been filed.
According to the Jeju Provincial Police Agency today (September 14), a report was recently filed alleging that Police Inspector A, affiliated with the Jeju Provincial Police Agency, made bullying remarks to a female subordinate working in the same department.
Upon receiving the complaint, the Jeju Provincial Police Agency separated the work spaces of Inspector A and the complainant, and is taking steps to address the report through the Reconciliation and Mediation Committee.
The Reconciliation and Mediation Committee is a procedure to verify facts, determine reconciliation or mediation, or refer the case for official inspection prior to formal disciplinary inspection.
Last month, a report was filed alleging that Police Inspector B at a district unit in the province made abusive remarks and sexually harassing comments to a female subordinate.
The police have transferred Inspector B to another post and are conducting a formal inspection in accordance with standard procedures.
