Veteran actor Jeon Won-joo, 86, has spoken out directly regarding the sudden suspension of her YouTube channel.

Appearing in a video released on the YouTube channel of fellow actor Sa Mi-ja on September 11, Jeon shared an update with her friend of 63 years. Discussing the background behind halting her YouTube activities, Jeon candidly confessed, "I don't watch it much myself, but people told me a lot of people watched it." She added, "We are going to start again. I tried to raise this (money) a bit, but they said they would quit, so I just said let's do it."

She continued, "I figured we shouldn't haggle too much over this (money) now, so I told them let's just do it together." She revealed plans to reunite with her original production crew, stating, "When times are hard and difficult, we hold hands and become companions walking together."

Previously, activities on Jeon's YouTube channel "Jeon Won-joo's Protagonist" came to an abrupt halt following an announcement of the production crew's departure on August 24.

At the time, the production crew, who had been together since the channel's launch, issued a notice saying, "We are greeting you because the production and operating team that has been with the channel from the very beginning will no longer be producing the 'Jeon Won-joo's Protagonist' channel. We spent a joyful and happy year thanks to our subscribers and teacher Jeon Won-joo."

Amidst the news of the departure following nearly a month without any new content uploads, reactions from subscribers ranged from "Please explain the current situation properly" to "Are you shutting down the channel like this?" Rumors concerning Jeon's health even surfaced at the time, sparking concern, but her agency drew a line by clarifying that the channel was not being shut down but rather undergoing reorganization.

Afterwards, as word spread that the background of the channel's suspension was indeed related to "money issues," some subscribers who heard the news expressed disappointment. Some voiced regret, saying, "We wanted to see the leisure and wisdom of old age, not money, especially since she already has plenty of money."

Launched last year, Jeon Won-joo's YouTube channel "Jeon Won-joo's Protagonist" drew attention by gathering 110,000 subscribers and has been beloved for content featuring her unique eloquence and life experiences.
