Figure skater Cha Junhwan and actor Seo Sumin delivered chemistry reminiscent of a youth film in the music video for singer Roy Kim's new release.

The music video for Roy Kim's fourth J-POP remake project track, "Sparkle," was released through his official YouTube channel on the 11th, drawing significant attention for the delicate romantic performances of its lead stars, Cha Junhwan and Seo Sumin.

Set in a warm, lyrical bookstore, the music video depicts the two characters gradually realizing their feelings for one another through notes left between books. Without dialogue, they flawlessly portrayed the emotional trajectory of becoming conscious of a stranger and coming to view them as someone special, relying solely on their gazes, expressions, and subtle gestures.

In particular, the visual chemistry combining Cha Junhwan's signature soft and delicate aura with Seo Sumin's innocent charm draws the eye. This is complemented by Roy Kim's powerful and soulful vocals, which build up toward the second half to maximize the nostalgic and fateful emotions of the song.

Roy Kim's remake of "Sparkle" is a well-known OST from the animated film "Your Name." (originally by RADWIMPS). Lyricist Lee Sulan and Roy Kim participated directly in writing the Korean lyrics, preserving the emotional essence of the original track while highlighting the beautiful expressions unique to the Korean language. Roy Kim also expressed his special affection for the project, stating, "I get to remake a song that I truly adore."
