President Lee Jae-myung will hold a summit with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is visiting South Korea on a state visit, at the Blue House this afternoon (the 14th).

Through this summit, the leaders of the two countries plan to explore ways to advance the "Special Strategic Partnership" between South Korea and Uzbekistan and expand cooperation in areas such as critical mineral supply chains.

Beginning with today's summit, President Lee will meet with the leaders of five countries consecutively—Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan tomorrow, and Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan the day after tomorrow—while presiding over the first South Korea-Central Asia Summit held in Seoul.
