A fire broke out on a cargo truck that crashed while driving on an expressway, causing major disruptions to traffic in the area.

At around 11:20 PM yesterday (September 13), a 25-ton cargo truck driven by a person in their 50s, A, crashed into the median barrier near the Seosan Interchange on the Seoul-bound section of the Seohaean Expressway.

The impact of the crash sent debris flying, damaging four vehicles traveling in the opposite lanes.

The cargo truck also caught fire, which was extinguished about 50 minutes later.

No one was injured in the accident, but traffic in both directions was temporarily halted during the cleanup process, causing inconvenience to motorists.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident based on statements from A, who said, "The tire burst due to debris on the road, leading to the accident."
