KIA Tigers professional baseball player Kim Doyoung, who underwent surgery for a fractured nose, made a healthy return and put on a 3-hit display to prove he is back in full form. He also set a milestone as the youngest player ever to achieve "40 home runs, 100 RBIs, and 100 runs."

Returning just four days after undergoing surgery for a nasal bone fracture sustained from being hit by a bunt on the 9th, Kim Doyoung warmed up his batting sense by drawing a walk in the first inning.

With one out and a runner on third in the fifth inning, he drove in an RBI single to left field to reach his 100th RBI of the season. Combined with his 40 home runs and 105 runs, he surpassed Lee Seung-yeop from 1999 to become the youngest player in KBO history to achieve "40 home runs, 100 runs, and 100 RBIs."

Kim added an RBI single to center field in the seventh and an RBI double down the left-field line in the eighth, putting on a 3-hit, 3-RBI performance in his final game before joining the national team on Monday (the 14th) and leading his team to a resounding victory.

LG's Austin hit his 39th three-run home run of the season in the fourth inning against Samsung, setting a new franchise record for the most home runs in a single season and narrowing the gap with home run leader Kim Doyoung to just one.

While second-place Samsung suffered two consecutive losses to LG, league-leader KT defeated Lotte behind a stellar pitching performance from starter So Hyeongjun, extending their winning streak to six games and widening the gap with Samsung to two games.

Fifth-place Doosan secured a crucial victory and breathed a sigh of relief against sixth-place NC—who had been chasing them by two games—propelled by the fighting spirit of Severino, who launched a clinching two-run homer right after suffering severe pain from being hit on the knee by a foul ball.
