A fire broke out at a barbecue restaurant located on the first floor of a four-story commercial building in Jang-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, at around 4:45 p.m. today, prompting about 30 customers and employees to evacuate.

Fire authorities mobilized 14 vehicles and 44 personnel, completely extinguishing the blaze at 6:19 p.m.

Due to the fire, the lower lanes of Dapsimni-ro heading from Chwaryongso Intersection to Jangan-dong Intersection were temporarily restricted.

Authorities reported that there were no casualties.

Officials are investigating the exact cause of the fire by questioning witnesses and others.
