A driver in his 20s, under the influence of alcohol, caused a rear-end collision while changing lanes at an intersection in Busan.

The Busan Nambu Police Station announced today (September 13) that it has booked and is investigating a man in his 20s, identified as A, on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act.

A is suspected of changing lanes while driving with a blood alcohol concentration level warranting the suspension of his driver's license around 10:30 a.m. today at the Munhyeon Intersection in Nam-gu, Busan, resulting in a collision with a Grandeur passenger car in the adjacent lane.

As a result of the accident, a mother and daughter in their 50s and 70s who were riding in the Grandeur were transported to the hospital.

Police have booked A for violating the Road Traffic Act and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
