A fire broke out on a mountain in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, at around 1:10 p.m. today (September 13), and the main blaze was brought under control in about 40 minutes.

Forestry authorities deployed 2 firefighting helicopters, 31 firefighting vehicles, and 86 personnel, extinguishing the main fire at around 1:50 p.m.

No casualties have been reported from the incident.

Forestry authorities plan to extinguish remaining embers while investigating the exact cause of the fire and the scale of the damage.
