A fire broke out at a restaurant in Judeok-eup, Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, at around 1:00 p.m. today (the 12th) and was extinguished in about 40 minutes.

No injuries were reported, but the interior of the restaurant was reportedly gutted by the fire.

Fire authorities believe the fire was caused by an overheated chicken fryer and are investigating the exact cause of the incident.
