At around 10:20 a.m. today (the 12th), a county bus driven in his 50s by a person surnamed A plunged into a rice paddy and collided with a utility pole on a farm road in Wolya-myeon, Hampyeong-gun, Jeonnam-Gwangju.

Four passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries in the accident and were transported to a hospital.

At the time of the accident, it was confirmed that driver A was neither driving under the influence nor driving without a license.

Police believe that driver A failed to properly look ahead while driving along a curved farm road and are currently investigating the exact cause and details of the accident.
