North Korea fired short-range ballistic missiles today (the 12th), marking another launch 23 days after its previous one on August 20.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) announced, "We detected several short-range ballistic missiles fired from the Wonsan area toward the East Sea at around 5:20 a.m. today," adding, "The North Korean missiles flew approximately 250 km."

The National Security Office held an emergency security situation review meeting and urged North Korea to immediately halt such acts, calling the ballistic missile launches a grave violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.
