A fire broke out in a mountainous area in Okgok-myeon, Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do, at around 10:00 a.m. today (September 12).

Upon receiving the report, the Korea Forest Service and fire authorities mobilized 1 helicopter and 32 personnel, completely extinguishing the fire in about an hour at around 11:00 a.m.

Authorities reported that there were no casualties from the fire.

Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
