At around 4:35 PM today (September 11), a passenger car driven by a man in his 20s, identified as A, rear-ended a 9.5-ton stationary truck parked on the shoulder near the plaza area of the Incheon Toll Gate on the Incheon-bound Gyeongin Expressway in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon.

The accident left driver A with serious injuries, and he was transported to a hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

The truck driver, a man in his 40s who was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, reportedly did not sustain any major injuries.

Authorities found that the truck driver had parked on the shoulder near the plaza area to use the toll gate restroom.

Police plan to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
