An active-duty judge has been caught by the police on charges of driving under the influence.

The Seoul Seocho Police Station is investigating Judge A of the Seoul High Court on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act.

Judge A is accused of driving a vehicle while intoxicated on a road in Seocho-gu, Seoul, at around 6:00 a.m. yesterday (September 9).

The police were dispatched after receiving a report stating, "There is a suspected drunk driving vehicle," and apprehended Judge A.

There were no casualties resulting from the drunk driving.

It was reported that Judge A's blood alcohol concentration was at the level for license suspension.

The police sent Judge A home after completing the breathalyzer test at the time.

They plan to summon Judge A at a later date to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
